\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Howard Schwarme Reno Jr., 86, of Long Beach, California, passed away on May 30, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1940, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Beaver, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Howard Schwarme Reno and Lois McFarland Reno.<\/p>\n
Howard graduated from Beaver Area High School, Class of 1958, and served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. On July 6, 1962, he married Peggy Lou Mills, and shortly thereafter they moved to California, where they made their home in Long Beach and raised their family. <\/p>\n
He worked for Southern California Edison for 32 years. A man of faith, he served as a church leader at Cerritos Valley OPC. He also enjoyed cycling and competed in the Solvang Century several times. Howard loved car shows and could identify the date, year, and model of any car. The family originally moved to Long Beach for the drag racing, which Howard loved.<\/p>\n
He will be remembered for his steadfast faith, devotion to family, service to others, and the strong foundation he built from Beaver to Long Beach.<\/p>\n
