WASHINGTON (KFSN) — Not long ago, Josh Hokit was scoring touchdowns for Fresno State. Now, he is making headlines in the UFC, both for his performance in the octagon and his comments afterward.<\/p>\n

Hokit fought 41-year-old Derrick Lewis on the UFC Freedom 250 card, which was staged on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Clovis High School graduate won the bout by second-round TKO, improving to 10-0 in his career.<\/p>\n

Fresno State football coach Matt Entz brought this year\u2019s team together in a theater to watch the fight, calling Hokit \u201cour own Fresno State football UFC fighter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the victory, however, Hokit made a derogatory comment about former First Lady Michelle Obama. The remarks sparked criticism on social media.<\/p>\n

After the fight, Hokit also placed a medallion around the neck of President Trump.<\/p>\n

The fight was a late addition to the card. According to Dana White, Trump asked him why Lewis was not on the White House card and White called Lewis to offer him a fight.<\/p>\n
