Broadway, said the store\u2019s manager, Edwin Jara.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"639\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/pet-partners-2-screenshot-2026-06-15-at-10556-pm-355622-jjfn9uhm-979057-j0l0Kr7P-1024x639.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-184667\"  \/>This screenshot of footage provided by Pet Partners shows the burglar breaking through the front door with a screwdriver.<\/p>\n<p>Security camera <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DZlM2IPkujw\/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ%3D%3D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">footage<\/a> shows a person with long hair, glasses and a facial covering smashing the glass front door with a screwdriver. The burglar then stole money from two tills, a petty cash bag and a few deposit bags, Jara said.<\/p>\n<p>Pet Partners is a small, locally owned business. The Belmont Heights store opened a year ago \u2014 an offshoot of Pet Partners in Alamitos Beach, which has been operating for more than 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>Business had been slowly picking up at the new location before the break-in. Jara said Saturday had been the store\u2019s best day since they opened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love having my shop here, but this is sad,\u201d Jara said. \u201cI can\u2019t believe some people can be so disrespectful and evil.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jara said he hopes police can track down the culprit quickly. He said security camera footage showed the burglar arrived on a Lime e-scooter, which requires users to enter personal and payment information to rent them.<\/p>\n<p>They were also wearing identifiable clothing. In the video footage, the thief had on a black zip-up hoodie with an image of Jason Vorhees from \u201cFriday the 13th\u201d on the back, along with blue jeans and Jordan sneakers.
