{"id":362390,"date":"2026-06-16T05:01:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T05:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/362390\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T05:01:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T05:01:09","slug":"anaheim-police-searching-for-hit-and-run-driver-who-killed-bicyclist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/362390\/","title":{"rendered":"Anaheim police searching for hit-and-run driver who killed bicyclist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anaheim police are seeking help from the public as they continue searching for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian in early June.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The crash happened on June 5, when Anaheim Police Department officers said a bicyclist riding south on Bluegrass Street through the intersection with Arlington Avenue was struck by a beige\/tan Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling west on Arlington, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AnaheimPD\/posts\/pfbid02aqdmxSXUBi1DUGqaHJXhM7KAmQaGoAZoBb85zCbHE4mzgikof1Lti3dJ56H4j2Kdl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">social media post shared by police<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After the collision, the male driver of the PT Cruiser slowed down, looked back toward the injured bicyclist, and then fled the scene,&#8221; police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/screenshot-2026-06-15-at-9-40-52-pm.png#.png\" alt=\"screenshot-2026-06-15-at-9-40-52-pm.png \" height=\"461\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  Several photos of the Chrysler PT Cruiser that Anaheim police believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash on June 5.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>                Anaheim Police Department<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was last seen continuing west on Arlington without stopping to help the victim, who hasn&#8217;t yet been publicly identified.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police say that the suspect&#8217;s vehicle has a faded convertible top, no rear window, chrome-and-red European-style taillights and chrome rims.
