Authorities allege Wesley, a camp staffer, entered a dorm room twice overnight Saturday and assaulted the child multiple times. Court documents indicate another girl was in the room during the incidents but was not harmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Police said officers provided immediate safety measures and support services for the child.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">UC Berkeley sent alerts to the campus community about the incident, which has left some shaken and raised concerns about safety for children participating in programs on university grounds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;Especially for a young kid, that&#8217;s going to be really traumatizing for them,&#8221; said Francis Wang, a UC employee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Wesley did not enter a plea during his initial court appearance and does not currently have an attorney. A judge said the public defender&#8217;s office cannot represent him because of an undisclosed conflict of interest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The court is now seeking representation for Wesley through the Bar Association.
