At approximately 2:15 p.m. on June 15, 2026, Anaheim Fire & Rescue and Anaheim Police responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at a hotel in the 1000 block of West Ball Road in Anaheim.<\/p>\n
Firefighters entered the building to investigate and discovered elevated levels of carbon monoxide inside the property.<\/p>\n
Due to the dangerous readings, a hazardous materials response was requested to assist with locating the source of the gas.<\/p>\n
Investigators ultimately traced the problem to a leak located in the basement of the building.<\/p>\n
As crews worked to secure the area and stop the leak, hotel guests were instructed to shelter in place while emergency personnel monitored conditions throughout the property.<\/p>\n
Hazmat teams remained on scene conducting air monitoring and ensuring the building was safe for occupants.<\/p>\n
No injuries were immediately reported.<\/p>\n
The incident remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
