LONG BEACH, Calif. \u2014 Detectives with the Long Beach Police Department\u2019s Burglary Detail are asking for the public\u2019s help in identifying two suspects involved in the theft of a pet parrot from a residence in the 3000 block of Cortner Avenue.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the theft occurred on June 5, 2026, at approximately 2:49 a.m. Surveillance footage shows two suspects approaching a cage located outside a residence. The suspects allegedly opened the cage, removed a Yellow-Naped Amazon Parrot, and fled northbound on Cortner Avenue on foot before reportedly entering a black sedan.<\/p>\n

Police described the suspects as:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Suspect #1: Male, wearing a blue hoodie, jeans, and white shoes.
\u2022 Suspect #2: Male, wearing dark clothing and dark-colored shoes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The vehicle involved is described as a black sedan.<\/p>\n

Detectives are urging anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the stolen parrot to contact the LBPD Burglary Detail at 562-570-7351<\/a>.<\/p>\n
