SAN JOSE \u2014 Hundreds of people gathered Thursday evening at San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose to watch Mexico and South Korea face off in the FIFA World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

People stood shoulder to shoulder and even lined the railings of a nearby parking garage overlooking the square. The venue eventually ran out of room, and people were turned away.<\/p>\n

Mexico ultimately prevailed over South Korea to secure the top spot in Group A and advance to the round of 32.<\/p>\n
