On Jan. 27, 2022, Kandynn took the day off from work and drove to Ericka\u2019s job, where he planned to ambush her in the parking lot, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
But the incompetent killer drove to the wrong location, so he decided to go to Ericka\u2019s apartment complex to lie in wait, even reclining his car seat.<\/p>\n

Shortly before midnight, as Ericka pulled into the parking lot and as she got out of her car, Kandynn approached her wearing a ski mask. He began brutally assaulting her, stabbing her 23 times in the neck, according to the DA.<\/p>\n
\u201cA brave neighbor saw the attack, and chased the defendant with a baseball bat, forcing him to flee on foot and leave behind his vehicle, gloves and murder weapon,\u201d the DA added.<\/p>\n
Emergency personnel found Ericka bleeding out in the parking lot and were unable to save her.<\/p>\n
The heartless butcher was arrested hours later.<\/p>\n
The cutthroat killer was found guilty by a jury of first-degree murder and sentenced to life without parole plus one year.<\/p>\n
