(FOX40.COM) \u2014\u00a0Veteran\u2019s Day is almost here and many Sacramento region restaurants are offering free meals, deals and events for those who have served.<\/p>\n

In-N-Out officials shared that veterans, active-duty military, reserves and National Guard receive a complimentary meal, including any burger, fries, and beverage on the menu. Customers do need to present proof of military service.<\/p>\n

Applebee\u2019s <\/a>announced that veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a free meal from a select menu\u00a0at participating locations. However, it\u2019s Dine-in only.<\/p>\n

BJ\u2019s Restaurant and Brewhouse <\/a>shared that active-duty and retired military members dining in at BJ\u2019s with a valid military ID will receive a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie.<\/p>\n

The company also added that from Nov. 12 through Dec. 31, guests with a valid military ID who dine in and purchase an entr\u00e9e will receive a free Appetizer Bounce Back to enjoy on a future visit.<\/p>\n

Chili\u2019s <\/a>officials shared that Veterans and active-duty military members get a free meal. Available in-restaurant only for some of the items and a Military ID is required to redeem the offer.<\/p>\n

Denny\u2019s <\/a>announced that veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a free Original Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.\u00a0Officials said customers must show a valid Military ID or DD214.<\/p>\n

Firehouse Subs officials announced that active-duty military personnel and veterans can enjoy any size sub and receive a second sub for free with a valid military ID.<\/p>\n

IHOP announced <\/a>that the company is offering a free red, white and blueberry pancake combo.<\/p>\n

Company officials said that veterans will be able to enjoy two buttermilk pancakes topped with glazed strawberries, blueberry topping and whipped topping, served with two eggs and hash browns and your choice of two types of crispy smoked bacon or two pork sausage links.<\/p>\n

For coffee lovers, Starbucks <\/a>stated that they are honoring those who have served with a free tall brewed coffee (hot or iced) for veterans, military service members and military spouses.<\/p>\n

The Auburn area invites the community to honor veterans with a parade starting at 8 a.m., with a free breakfast for Veterans. The parade is set to begin around 10:50 a.m., which will be led by fire engines and law enforcement groups.<\/p>\n

Veterans of Foreign Wars is hosting its 2025 Veterans Day Parade and Heroes luncheon starting at 11 a.m. at 110 Clarendon Street, with the parade ending at Park and Stone Boulevard.<\/p>\n

After the parade, VFW officials said, \u201cLet\u2019s keep the celebration going\u201d with free meals for all community members.<\/p>\n

The City of Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department announced that the 2025 Veterans Day<\/a> Parade will be held in Downtown Fairfield with free admission to the community.<\/p>\n

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, in November 1919, President Wilson proclaimed the 11th as the first commemoration of Armistice Day with the following words:<\/p>\n

\u201cTo us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country\u2019s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
