Coachella 2026 lineup featured Devo"Devo

Devo performs at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival wearing their signature red hats known as “Power Domes” on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Some Coachella Valley fans already got a taste of a Devo performance recently at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The Akron band, now featuring original members Mark Mothersbaugh, guitarist Bob Mothersbaugh, bassist and keyboardist Gerald Casale, along with keyboardist Josh Hager and drummer Jeff Friedl, gained fame after their unforgettable 1978 appearance on Saturday Night Live, where they wore yellow hazmat suits. They are also well-known for the 1980 hit song “Whip It” and their signature red hats, known as “energy domes.”

Though the group lost a good majority of its Gen Z crowd after they played their hit “Whip It,” their set was loud, energetic and a fun showcase of the band’s magnetic energy.
