Now, the <a href=\"https:\/\/la.urbanize.city\/neighborhood\/long-beach\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Long Beach<\/a>-based developer is looking to build on the property it currently calls home.<\/p>\n<p>In a filing made in May with the City of Long Beach, Linc proposes to raze and redevelop its offices just north of the 405 Freeway at 3590 Elm Avenue. Plans call for a five-story, approximately 145,000-square-foot building featuring 109 homes, offices, and parking for 69 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Per a representative of Linc Housing, the project is intended to serve families earning between 30 and 70 percent of the area median income level.<\/p>\n<p>Linc Housing is funding the project through the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency, which presented a $39.8-million financing package for the project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linchousing.org\/news_releases\/lacahsa-announces-more-than-255-million-in-housing-homelessness-prevention-investments-supporting-over-1500-units-across-los-angeles-county\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">earlier this year.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLACAHSA\u2019s investment is a catalyst for the affordable housing Long Beach families desperately need,\u201d said Linc&#8217;s chief operating officer Suny Lay Chang in a May news release. \u201cWe know that when rent consumes the largest share of a family\u2019s budget, every other essential \u2014 food, childcare, healthcare, transportation \u2014 becomes a daily calculation. This funding changes that equation, and with it, gives families the stability to not just get by, but to truly build their lives here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in Long Beach, Linc Housing recently broke ground on <a href=\"https:\/\/la.urbanize.city\/post\/construction-begins-affordable-housing-4151-e-fountain-ave-long-beach\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a 73-unit affordable housing complex at 4151 E.
