{"id":374555,"date":"2026-06-25T15:46:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T15:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/374555\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T15:46:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T15:46:07","slug":"los-angeles-wins-big-at-2026-michelin-guide-california-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/374555\/","title":{"rendered":"Los Angeles Wins Big at 2026 Michelin Guide California Ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Los Angeles features 25 restaurants on the guide <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Less than six months into opening, chef Marcus Jermark\u2019s Lielle has earned Michelin-star status.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s about cooking excellent food and focusing on everything that the guests touch,\u00a0taste\u00a0and smell,\u201d he\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lamag.com\/food\/swedish-chef-marcus-jernmark-is-changing-the-face-of-fine-dining-with-lielle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">told\u00a0Los Angeles<\/a>\u00a0earlier this year. \u201cRunning a restaurant is something highly personal.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Culinary intimacy proved successful for Lielle, which was just one of nine restaurants\u00a0across California to earn one Michelin star for the first time. The\u00a0Pico-Robertson fine dining restaurant was also joined by Corridor 109, Kojima, Miura and Seline\u00a0(also on\u00a0Los Angeles\u2019 Best New Restaurants\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lamag.com\/food\/los-angeles-magazine-best-new-restaurants-january-2026-l\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">list<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Michelin made the announcement during its California guide ceremony on June 24 in Downtown San Diego.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs one of our\u00a0legacy\u00a0destinations in the U.S., California helped set the standard for exceptional dining experiences\u00a0worth traveling\u00a0for,\u201d said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide. \u201cThis year is no different as California continues to be a pace setter for the industry based on our Inspectors\u2019 brilliant discoveries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kato, chef Jonathan Yao\u2019s Taiwanese omakase institution in Downtown Los Angeles leveled up the list by earning a second star.
