Instagram\/powertalkfresno<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Radio Insight, which first reported the broader cuts, described the layoffs at the company\u2019s largest workforce reduction since 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Carey\u2019s final show aired Tuesday on 96.7 FM and 1400 AM, ending a run in which he mixed local and national politics from a conservative perspective.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The station had already scrubbed Carey\u2019s page from its website by Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIt was almost like going to a living funeral,\u201d Carey said of his final day. \u201cIt is good to have hugs and hear how people really feel about you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Carey joined Power Talk in 2016, replacing Christopher Gabriel, who now works as a morning news anchor at Fresno\u2019s KMJ radio. Before his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/lifestyle\/articles\/former-california-meth-capital-ranked-160935487.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:decade in
