OAKLAND \u2014 A woman died Saturday morning after the California Highway Patrol said the car she was driving crashed into a parked Caltrans truck on the Bay Bridge.<\/p>\n
She was identified Thursday by the coroner\u2019s bureau as Haylie Ann Eisele, 26, of Pleasant Hill. A passenger and dog who were also in the vehicle were injured.<\/p>\n
The collision happened about 4 a.m. Saturday on eastbound Interstate 80 east of Treasure Island on the bridge decline.<\/p>\n
The CHP said Eisele was driving a black Kia in the far left lane when it suddenly swerved into the roadway shoulder and struck a parked Caltrans truck. The Caltrans employees were outside the vehicle and were not injured.<\/p>\n
Eisele died at the scene.<\/p>\n
A male adult passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. A dog that was also in the car was turned over to Alameda County animal control officers.<\/p>\n
Investigators were attempting to figure out what caused the Kia to swerve into the truck, and whether drugs or alcohol were factors in what happened.<\/p>\n
