Two men were stabbed in separate incidents in Long Beach on Saturday, June 27, following verbal disputes that escalated into violence, according to the Long Beach Police Department.<\/p>\n

The first stabbing occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of Long Beach Boulevard. Officers responded to reports of a stabbing and found an adult male suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds to his upper body. Personnel with the Long Beach Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Preliminary investigators determined the victim and an adult male suspect became involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim. No information about an arrest has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n

Later that day, at approximately 6:39 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Stanton Place after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they located an adult male with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel treated the victim at the scene, but he declined transportation to a hospital.<\/p>\n

Investigators said this incident also stemmed from a verbal dispute between the victim and an adult male suspect that escalated into a stabbing. The suspect\u2019s identity has not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n

Police have not indicated whether the two incidents are connected.<\/p>\n
