(KGET) \u2014 The attorney representing Bakersfield Christmas Parade crash defendant Alan Booth is expected to file a motion this week to be released from the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Defense attorney Jeremy Brehmer and prosecutor Brandon Stallings confirmed during a hearing Monday that Brehmer is expected to be replaced as counsel for Booth, who faces multiple felony counts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Judge Tiffany Organ-Bowles set a hearing for Wednesday to confirm Brehmer\u2019s release and appoint new counsel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Booth\u2019s blood alcohol-content after the 2023 crash was measured at 0.28%, more than three times the legal limit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In January,\u00a0Booth was found guilty of misdemeanor DUI charges for driving drunk in another incident months after the crash. In that case, he drove to Jim Burke Ford to get a tire repaired and was arrested after providing breath samples that returned BAC readings of 0.231 and 0.233%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
