Redwood West<\/a>, in partnership with Panattoni, has acquired\u00a0The Pike, Long Beach, California\u2019s premier waterfront retail, dining, and entertainment lifestyle center. The acquisition price and seller were not disclosed.<\/p>\n Located, at 95 S. Pine Ave, The Pike is a 394,616-square-foot lifestyle center that has long served as a gathering place for residents, visitors, and the surrounding community. The acquisition marks a new chapter for the property, with ownership focused on exciting new leasing, supporting existing tenants, and creating opportunities for community engagement and activation.<\/p>\n \u201cGreat destinations bring people together,\u201d said\u00a0John Pomer<\/a>, Principal of Redwood West. \u201cThe Pike\u2019s waterfront is one of Long Beach\u2019s greatest assets. Our vision is to create a vibrant gathering place with experiences, events, and public spaces that invite residents and visitors to connect with the community year-round.\u201d<\/p>\n Built in 2003, The Pike is a landmark retail and entertainment destination situated in the heart of Long Beach\u2019s downtown waterfront business and entertainment\u00a0district that draws seven million annual visitors.\u00a0The property is 91% leased to a dynamic mix of retail, dining, entertainment, and lifestyle offerings, anchored by Cinemark Theatres and complemented by waterfront restaurants, retailers, and entertainment venues. High-profile tenants include Restoration Hardware, Cinemark, E\u014dS Fitness, Nike Factory Store, H&M, Levi\u2019s, P.F. Chang\u2019s, Gladstones, California Pizza Kitchen, and Starbucks, among others.<\/p>\n \u201cSuccessful retail is about more than leasing space\u2014it\u2019s about curating the right mix of retail, dining, entertainment, and experiences,\u201d said\u00a0Colby Cyburt<\/a>, Principal of Redwood West. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to build on The Pike\u2019s waterfront location and create a merchandising strategy that serves the Long Beach community while attracting new visitors and creating long-term value for our tenants.\u201d<\/p>\n Redwood West and Panattoni will invest approximately $20 million to deliver placemaking initiatives, community-focused events, strategic leasing, neighborhood-serving uses, and experiential activations designed to increase visitation and further strengthen The Pike\u2019s connection to the Long Beach community.<\/p>\n Redwood West will oversee property management, leasing, marketing, and operations, bringing its hospitality-driven approach and experience managing some of Southern California\u2019s most successful mixed-use and waterfront destinations.<\/p>\n The acquisition reflects Redwood West\u2019s and Panattoni\u2019s continued commitment to investing in high-quality retail and mixed-use destinations throughout California.
