FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The staff at Jingle Bao at Bullard and Blackstone in north Fresno skillfully wrap dumplings like holiday gifts.<\/p>\n
“It sounds like Jingle Bells, which we think is kind of funny at the end,” says manager Aaron Peng. “It kind of matches the theme.”<\/p>\n
You’ll find some very unique buns here.<\/p>\n
We saw the pan-fried juicy pork bun, which Peng says is the one everyone wants.<\/p>\n
The handcrafted soup dumplings undergo a change when they’re steamed — rich broth comes out.<\/p>\n
A window allows you to watch your dumplings being made.<\/p>\n
“This is what makes our restaurant unique and special,” Peng said.<\/p>\n
Buns or a basket of dumplings – from regular to spicy – are a must.<\/p>\n
“It’s more like a breakfast,” Peng said.<\/p>\n
We tried the scallion beef and Angus Beef truffle fried rice.<\/p>\n
In this delicious case, all that glitters is actually a truffle.<\/p>\n
“This is our signature beef scallion pancake roll,” Peng said. “Our scallion beef pancake roll is popular already.”<\/p>\n
Peng says Jingle Bao offers a modern take on many of your favorites.<\/p>\n
“This type of Chinese restaurant, as you can see, is different from the traditional Chinese takeout restaurant,” he said.<\/p>\n
