LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach State has officially signed Malia Tualani, a guard who joins the Beach following a standout prep career highlighted by championship success, academic excellence, and consistent all-conference honors.<\/p>\n

Tualani arrives at Long Beach State after establishing herself as one of the top players in her conference. A three-time SWC First Team All-Conference selection, she earned All-State honors in 2026 after averaging 14.0 points per game during her senior season.<\/p>\n
Throughout her high school career, Tualani helped lead her program to four appearances in the state championship tournament, capturing the 2024 6A state championship while also finishing as the state runner-up in both 2023 and 2026. Her consistent leadership and winning mentality played a key role in one of the most successful stretches in school history.<\/p>\n
Off the court, Tualani excelled in the classroom, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class with Magna Cum Laude honors while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. She also completed her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, demonstrating the same commitment to excellence academically as she did on the basketball court.<\/p>\n
