(KBAK\/KBFX)  \u2014 If you&#8217;re making last-minute plans for the Fourth of July, here&#8217;s what you need to know before heading out.<\/p>\n<p>While many businesses will remain open for the holiday, some retailers, government services and other businesses will have modified schedules.<\/p>\n<p>Grocery stores and retailers<\/p>\n<p>Most major grocery stores and retailers are expected to be open on Saturday, July 4, though some locations may operate with reduced holiday hours.<\/p>\n<p>Stores expected to be open include:<\/p>\n<p>TargetWalmartAlbertsonsSam&#8217;s Club (with modified holiday hours at many locations)<\/p>\n<p>Customers are encouraged to check with their local store before visiting, as hours may vary by location.<\/p>\n<p>Stores with holiday closures or modified hours<\/p>\n<p>Some retailers are adjusting their schedules for Independence Day:<\/p>\n<p>Trader Joe&#8217;s stores will close early at 5 p.m.Costco warehouses will be closed nationwide on July 4.Banks, mail and government offices<\/p>\n<p>Because Independence Day falls on a Saturday this year, holiday schedules vary by business and agency.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/open-closed-july-4-july-3-2026-stores-target-walmart-costco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">CBS News<\/a>, most federal offices are expected to remain open on Friday, July 3, even though it is the observed holiday for many federal employees. <\/p>\n<p>Many banks and post offices are also expected to operate on Friday before closing on Saturday, July 4.
