(KGET) \u2014 Early on Jan. 4, 2022, a woman asleep at home felt a tapping on her chest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">She opened her eyes to a shocking sight \u2014 a naked man standing in her bedroom. He told her to move over.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">She screamed and the intruder bolted out a sliding glass door, but immediately reentered and demanded she perform a sex act, according to a report filed by sheriff\u2019s investigators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.kget.com\/plus\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Watch 17 News, After Sunrise and more local news free on your smart TV. Deputies arrived and couldn\u2019t find him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">But, armed with a description, they conducted a search of sex offenders living in the area and found a possible match: Jerrad Allen. The woman viewed a photo lineup and positively identified him as the intruder, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Allen was arrested the next day following a foot chase in the 300 block of Petrol Road, not far from the victim\u2019s home. He remains in custody without bail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At a court hearing Thursday, Allen\u2019s trial on a slew of charges \u2014 including sex crimes \u2014 was postponed to Aug. 17.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">As terrifying as the incident was, authorities allege Allen committed a similar crime just a month earlier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link  yahoo-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/us\/articles\/man-kidnapped-raped-woman-shape-145804089.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Man who kidnapped, raped woman from In-Shape parking lot sentenced to life in prison;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Man who kidnapped, raped woman from In-Shape parking lot sentenced to life in prison&quot;}\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Man who kidnapped, raped woman from In-Shape parking lot sentenced to life in prison <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At about 1:19 a.m. on Dec. 10, 2021, a man wearing only a shirt and socks entered a home and chased a woman until her boyfriend forced him outside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That man, captured on surveillance video, was later identified as Allen, investigators said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The charges against him reflect both incidents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Allen has previously been convicted of sex crimes involving a child, court records show. Released from jail in October 2021, just two months before the first attack, he\u2019d failed to update his sex offender registration with law enforcement, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
