The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a reported fire at 6455 Hedge Avenue, southeast of the Florin Fruitridge Industrial Park, where they found three semi-trailers in flames, Captain Mark Nunez said.<\/p>\n
Firefighters used an \u201caggressive fire attack\u201d with hoses to keep the fire from spreading to the surrounding vehicles in the yard, Nunez explained.<\/p>\n
Crews successfully contained the fire, and there were no injuries. The fire\u2019s cause is still under investigation.<\/p>\n
Nunez offered tips for residents who spot vehicle fires.<\/p>\n
\u201cMove to a safe location immediately and call 911,\u201d Nunez said. He warned that commercial vehicle fires in particular can \u201cspread rapidly\u201d and \u201cproduce hazardous smoke.\u201d<\/p>\n
