A California plastic surgeon who surrendered her medical license after a botched cosmetic procedure <\/a>ended in a patient\u2019s death has been found dead in a backyard swimming pool.<\/p>\n

Sarwa Aldoori, 71, was identified by the Kern County Coroner after she was discovered Tuesday evening at a home on Pineglen Drive in Bakersfield, KGET<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

The Bakersfield Police Department said the investigation remains active, with the cause, manner and circumstances surrounding Aldoori\u2019s death still pending.<\/p>\n

The surgeon specialized in women\u2019s health and wellness as well as cosmetic surgery.<\/p>\n

Her death comes after she surrendered her California physician\u2019s license in March 2024 following disciplinary action connected to the death of one of her patients.<\/p>\n

California Medical Board records show Aldoori was first placed on a seven-year probation before regulators accused her of failing to comply with its terms, ultimately leading to her surrendering her license.<\/p>\n

The disciplinary case stemmed from allegations filed in 2021 over a liposuction and tummy tuck procedure performed on a patient who died in April 2016.<\/p>\n
