(KFSN) &#8212; The Fresno County Department of Public Health have confirmed a case of Meningococcal disease associated with a daycare facility center in Fresno County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The FCDP says Meningococcal disease is a bacterial infection that can infect the lining of the brain, spinal cord, or bloodstream.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Common symptoms are fever, chills, headache, vomiting, drowsiness, sensitivity to light, fast breathing, and a dark purple rash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">The health department says they are working closely with healthcare providers and the daycare facility to identify those who may have been exposed.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
