(KFSN) &#8212; A man has been taken to the hospital after he was stabbed in the neck in Southwest Fresno on Monday evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Fresno police say that around 4:30 p.m., a family member brought the victim to the Fresno Police Department substation off Fresno and &#8220;C&#8221; streets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the neck and believe a wooden object was used as the weapon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Authorities discovered that the stabbing occurred off Whitebridge and Thorne avenues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he is undergoing surgery. Officials say the man is expected to survive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers went out to the area where the stabbing occurred and interviewed multiple witnesses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">They also recovered surveillance video, which they said helped them locate a suspect who is now in custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Both the suspect and victim identities have not been released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">A motive for the stabbing is unknown.
