{"id":388808,"date":"2026-07-07T03:59:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T03:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/388808\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T03:59:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T03:59:09","slug":"long-beach-police-searching-for-hit-and-run-driver-that-killed-bicyclist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/388808\/","title":{"rendered":"Long Beach police searching for hit-and-run driver that killed bicyclist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Long Beach police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a bicyclist early Monday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The crash happened a little before 2:40 a.m. near the intersection of Cowles Street and Santa Fe Avenue, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.longbeach.gov\/police\/press-releases\/traffic-fatality--cowles-street-and-santa-fe-avenue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">news release<\/a> from the Long Beach Police Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, officers found the bicyclist, only identified as a man, lying in the roadway after he was struck by a vehicle.
