{"id":389003,"date":"2026-07-07T09:21:22","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T09:21:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/389003\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T09:21:22","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T09:21:22","slug":"pacific-coast-highway-in-malibu-partially-reopens-after-car-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/389003\/","title":{"rendered":"Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu partially reopens after car crash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A car crash closed Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu for several hours on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>By 5 p.m., authorities had removed a downed power pole from the roadway and reopened one lane in either direction, the California Department of Transportation announced in a<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CaltransDist7\/status\/2074279535529607510\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"> social media post<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The partial closure was expected to last until midnight as Southern California Edison crews worked to repair the pole, according to Caltrans.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies were initially called at 3:20 a.m. to Pacific Coast Highway, near Paradise Cove Road, for reports of a vehicle that crashed into a pole, said Lt.
