On Monday night, Rosal\u00eda played the Oakland Arena, and her guest was Chappell Roan.<\/p>\n<p>Chappell Roan hasn&#8217;t made too many public appearances lately, and she hasn&#8217;t given a full performance since Lollapalooza Brazil, where <a href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2495659\/jorginho-finally-concedes-chappell-roan-did-not-make-his-daughter-cry\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">she did not Jorginho&#8217;s stepdaughter cry<\/a>. Last night, Rosal\u00eda welcomed Roan to her stage. I don&#8217;t get the impression that they know each other very well, but they do seem to be mutual admirers, which makes perfect sense. Stepping into Rosal\u00eda&#8217;s confessional, Roan took inspiration from Lola Young&#8217;s appearance at a previous show and told the story behind one of her songs.<\/p>\n<p>In a long but charming back-and-forth, Chappell Roan told a tale about going out to LA to write music with an unnamed figure and finding a sudden romantic spark with that person, only to find out that they met someone else shortly after their first date with Roan. Roan broadly implied that that&#8217;s the backstory behind her song &#8220;Casual,&#8221; and she also attempted to explain the meaning of the word &#8220;faucet&#8221; to Rosal\u00eda.
