{"id":391221,"date":"2026-07-08T22:53:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T22:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/391221\/"},"modified":"2026-07-08T22:53:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T22:53:07","slug":"l-a-s-first-luxury-gas-station-opens-in-beverly-hills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/391221\/","title":{"rendered":"L.A.\u2019s First Luxury Gas Station Opens in Beverly Hills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Maggie\u2019s Refuel, led by food-tech entrepreneur Alex Canter, plans to turn a traditional gas station stop into a five-star experience <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A transformed convenience-store concept is coming to L.A. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maggie\u2019s Refuel is the city\u2019s first high-end pit stop and is set to open in Beverly Hills in 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Led by the fourth-generation owner of <a href=\"https:\/\/lamag.com\/food\/canters-pasadena\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/lamag.com\/food\/canters-pasadena\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canter\u2019s Deli<\/a>, Alex Canter, and inspired by Japan\u2019s 7-Eleven and Italy\u2019s Autogrill, the c-store will pair gas station classics like Diet Coke, Peanut M&amp;Ms and Flamin\u2019 Hot Cheetos with locally sourced pastries and elevated soft serve.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The premium experience, named after Canter\u2019s French bulldog mix, will also include EV charging and a mobile app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re planning to build a best-in-class, hospitality-driven experience, featuring soft serve, lattes on draft, matcha, pastries and curated snacks from around the world,\u201d Canter told CSP Daily News. \u201cWe\u2019re also working on some exciting food collaborations with local restaurants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Canter also told CSP Daily News on Tuesday that the location for Maggie\u2019s first store will be the Union 76 gas station at the corner of Crescent Drive and Little Santa Monica Blvd. He said they plan to keep the 76 brand after they open Maggie\u2019s on-site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Canter\u2019s previous ventures also include virtual restaurant company Nextbite, which he sold to <a href=\"https:\/\/lamag.com\/style\/sbe-sam-nazarian-new-chapter-may-2026\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/lamag.com\/style\/sbe-sam-nazarian-new-chapter-may-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hospitality mogul Sam Nazarian<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center is-style-altfont has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-xs-font-size wp-elements-a392843e06eac12cec56e735f4f8219f has-lg-margin-top wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"letter-spacing:1px;text-transform:uppercase\">Scroll to continue reading<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maggie\u2019s recently raised $2 million in pre-seed funding from Matchstick Ventures, Mucker Capital and Everywhere Ventures, according to Finally Offline.
