{"id":392837,"date":"2026-07-10T02:02:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-10T02:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/392837\/"},"modified":"2026-07-10T02:02:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-10T02:02:08","slug":"suspect-arrested-in-connection-with-30-plus-bay-area-burglaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/392837\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect arrested in connection with 30-plus Bay Area burglaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN JOSE \u2014 Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with more than 30 commercial burglaries in the Bay Area over the past year and a half.<\/p>\n<p>The incidents, which primarily involved restaurants and cafes, happened between early 2025 and June 2026, San Jose police Officer Tanya Hernandez said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect frequently used an electric scooter as his getaway vehicle, Hernandez said.<\/p>\n<p>Police identified the suspect as a 47-year-old San Jose man and obtained a warrant for his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>On April 30, detectives served a warrant at the suspect\u2019s residence, but he was not home. However, they recovered evidence linking him to the burglaries, Hernandez said.<\/p>\n<p>The Santa Clara Police Department Special Enforcement Team found the suspect June 29, Hernandez said.
