BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 An investigation into prostitution at a massage parlor ended with the owner of Dream Massage surrendering to police and an employee cited. Police said search warrants were conducted at the business and a home in the Seven Oaks neighborhood.<\/p>\n
The Bakersfield Police Department said in June 2026, the department responded to community tips and began an investigation into prostitution occurring at a massage parlor.<\/p>\n
Police said the investigation included talking to business patrons who admitted receiving sexual favors for money.<\/p>\n
According to Bakersfield police, on July 7th, 2026, detectives from the Organized Crime\/Vice Detail served a search warrant at Dream Massage, located at 7800 Meany Avenue near Coffee Road.<\/p>\n
Another search warrant was also served at a home in the 2100 block of Wedgemont Place, located in the Seven Oaks neighborhood.<\/p>\n
The search warrants revealed evidence consistent with prostitution activity, as well as over $17,000 in cash, according to police.<\/p>\n
One employee at the business was arrested for prostitution and was released with a citation.<\/p>\n
Police said the investigation revealed the owner of the business, 50-year-old Yan Lahn of Bakersfield, was housing some of the employees inside the business and providing them with items to further their illicit acts.<\/p>\n
Police said the investigation also revealed Lahn was collecting a portion of the money received for sexual acts.<\/p>\n
A warrant to arrest Lahn was issued, and on July 10th, 2026, she surrendered to detectives and was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Lahn was booked into the Kern County Jail for pandering and maintaining a house of prostitution.<\/p>\n
