(KBAK\/KBFX) President Trump agreed this week at the NATO summit in Turkey to give Ukraine a production license to build its own Patriot missile interceptors for defense, a major request from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n<p>During the summit, Trump was asked if he had a deadline to reach a deal with Russia. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, I don\u2019t have a deadline. You can\u2019t have a deadline. You know it\u2019s too much going on, but I think you\u2019re going to have a deal,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>The war in Ukraine has now lasted longer than World War One, and uncertainty remains about when the conflict could end.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"20,000 teddy bears to mark Ukrainian children separated in war at Bakersfield event (KBAK\/KBFX)\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e9007172-870a-4c87-931c-d3a247bf1af6-wide.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>20,000 teddy bears to mark Ukrainian children separated in war at Bakersfield event (KBAK\/KBFX)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst of all, this war is not over. Second, it\u2019s taken countless lives on both sides,\u201d said Mira Rubin of Shield of Freedom.<\/p>\n<p>Rubin works with the Bring Back the Kids national tour, which has already made stops in Los Angeles and Sacramento. <\/p>\n<p>During those stops, organizers set up an installation of 20,000 teddy bears representing the number of Ukrainian children who have been forcibly separated from their families during the conflict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are going through indoctrination. Forced militarization. And many of them are thrown on the front line once they reach 18 and older. So, this is a genocide,\u201d Rubin said.<\/p>\n<p>The Bring Back the Kids tour is scheduled to come to Bakersfield on Saturday at the <a href=\"https:\/\/waylight.me\/shieldoffreedom\/event\/2f49f-448a0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kern County Administrative Building<\/a> and will have a public viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"20,000 teddy bears to mark Ukrainian children separated in war at Bakersfield event (KBAK\/KBFX)\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e8b3cc78-17e2-40de-a981-cfc5ddf3a633-flag.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>20,000 teddy bears to mark Ukrainian children separated in war at Bakersfield event (KBAK\/KBFX)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.signupgenius.com\/index.cfm?go=s.signup&amp;urlid=10C0444AEA628A5F5C70-64688400-bring&amp;useFullSite=true#\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Volunteers<\/a> are also needed to help set up the event.<\/p>\n<p> Rubin said the issue extends beyond Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not just a Ukraine issue. I mean this Europe. This is a global issue.
