{"id":394378,"date":"2026-07-11T04:19:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-11T04:19:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/394378\/"},"modified":"2026-07-11T04:19:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-11T04:19:19","slug":"long-beach-police-investigate-double-shooting-friday-morning-long-beach-post-news-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/394378\/","title":{"rendered":"Long Beach police investigate double shooting Friday morning \u2022 Long Beach Post News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police say two men were wounded in a shooting this morning in the Washington neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting was reported shortly before 7:15 a.m. near the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Anaheim Street, Long Beach police spokesperson Andrea Moran wrote in an email.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to the scene and found two men, each with a gunshot wound to the upper body, Moran wrote. They were both taken to a hospital. An update on their condition was not immediately available, but homicide detectives were called because of the\u201dseverity of one victim\u2019s injuries,\u201d Moran said.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting appeared to have happened at the northeast corner of the intersection, outside of a strip mall with a liquor store, a laundromat and a market.
