The City\u2019s Incident Management Team<\/a> (IMT) received 2,676 calls for service from June 1\u2013July 5 and responded by engaging people experiencing homelessness, offering services and shelter options, and ensuring compliance with City laws and ordinances.<\/p>\n

Efforts to expand shelter capacity also continued during the reporting period with the opening of the City\u2019s new Safe Camping site<\/a> in the River District. The site provides space for approximately 100 people experiencing homelessness and offers participants access to case management, housing navigation, behavioral health services and other supportive resources.<\/p>\n

The Safe Camping site is the latest addition to Sacramento\u2019s broader homelessness response system, which includes the Roseville Road Service Campus<\/a>, the Outreach and Engagement Center, the Meadowview Navigation Center, the Emergency Bridge Housing at the Grove program<\/a> for transitional-aged youth and the Stockton Boulevard Safe Stay community<\/a>.<\/p>\n
