Starting at 12 p.m. on July 13, organizers are distributing the freshly picked peaches on a first-come, first-served basis at 4908 N. Holt Ave. in Fresno.

The giveaway is open to anyone while supplies last, with organizers saying they will update the public once all of the fruit has been distributed.

The effort began after volunteers learned that an entire Kingsburg peach orchard would be torn out without its fruit being harvested.

In response, the group organized multiple volunteer harvest events to save as much fruit as possible.

Organizers are still seeking volunteers to help harvest more peaches on Tuesday.

Those interested can register through the organization’s website, where they’ll receive details about volunteer locations and schedules.

The giveaway is expected to continue on Tuesday. The time is unconfirmed yet.
