There’s no reason to make any bones about it: We’re all thoroughly and utterly obsessed with the vast dinoverse, and the fact that there is a full-on, ultra-fascinating Dinosaur Hall at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County only deepens our Jurassic joy.<\/p>\n

But what if we wanted an even bigger experience, the sort of science-cool, tidbit-laden outing that took us to the realm of T.rex and the other ancient beasties that ruled our planet?<\/p>\n

There’s no need to sharpen our claws or show our teeth to find our way to a dino-themed adventure: The Exposition Park-based museum has a new Insider Tour<\/a>, a “Backstage Pass to Dinosaur Discovery”<\/a> for those bronto buffs and allosaurus enthusiasts seeking more knowledge, more wonder, and more eons-old marvels.<\/p>\n

The “rare behind-the-scenes experience” will feature “one-of-a-kind fossils,” as well as opportunities to hear from paleontologists about the latest dino-centric science.<\/p>\n

Dino people, dig deeper into the paleo-tastic world of the Natural History Museum on the just-added Insider Tour.<\/p>\n

A lab visit is in the mix, too, giving guests the opportunity to see the place “where fossils are prepared” as well as “the meticulous work that brings ancient animals from the field into the Museum’s collection.”<\/p>\n

This is all happening in the Dinosaur Institute, on the museum’s fourth floor, a hallowed place that few paleo aficionados get to visit.<\/p>\n
