A California registered nurse is facing backlash after social media posts circulating online appeared to express a wish that President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0and late Sen. Lindsey Graham<\/a>, R-S.C., would die, prompting questions about whether his employer is reviewing the matter.<\/p>\n

The Instagram story, posted by Robert Acuna-Bagshaw, who identifies himself on his LinkedIn page<\/a> as a registered nurse at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Memorial Children\u2019s Hospital since January 2016, appears to show a collage of three public figures, Sen.\u00a0Mitch McConnell<\/a>, R-Ky., President Donald Trump and Graham.<\/p>\n

McConnell is on the left, with a skull power-plug emoji beneath his photo and flashing text that says, \u201cPull the plug.\u201d <\/p>\n

Trump is in the center, with a countdown beneath his photo, and Graham is on the right, with a gray tombstone graphic reading \u201cR.I.P.\u201d over his image.<\/p>\n

At the bottom of the story, blue text reads, \u201cIf all 3 of these f\u2014ers die this week, I might become religious again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Near the top of the story is an orange cross graphic, and the Instagram account name visible appears to be \u201clb_buddha,\u201d with Acuna-Bagshaw\u2019s name also appearing on the account profile.<\/p>\n

Graham, 71, passed away\u00a0at 10:23 p.m. Saturday. <\/p>\n

An autopsy was done on Sunday suggesting that Graham passed away from\u00a0aortic dissection<\/a>\u00a0due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n

A statement from Graham\u2019s office read, \u201cThe\u00a0death certificate\u00a0will be PENDING until all the toxicological and microscopic testing are finalized, and at that point the death certificate will be updated to reflect the cause of death and appropriately classify the manner of death.\u201d<\/p>\n

McConnell, who has been\u00a0hospitalized for almost a month, said in a statement Sunday that he has been\u00a0recovering from a fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy doctors have confirmed that I didn\u2019t break any bones or suffer a concussion,\u201d McConnell said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don\u2019t have any tumors or hemorrhages.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a later Instagram story posted on Monday that included screenshots of various accounts, Acuna-Bagshaw wrote, \u201cWhat\u2019s funny is that MAGA morons are messaging me on all my socials, threatening my life, calling my work trying to get me fired, looking up my address and insinuating attacks to the property owners of the listed address etc. because I\u2019ve reposted memes, all the while not realizing all of their internet activity, which they can\u2019t delete, is being tracked. When one of the morons actually does something, because that\u2019s what MAGA does, they\u2019ll all be suspects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Acuna-Bagshaw added, \u201cIf you\u2019re new just yesterday and I don\u2019t know you, expect a call. I\u2019m fortunate enough to have made a life with friends in positions that specialize in these situations. It\u2019s sad that MAGA are like this and personally attack people to shut them up when nothing was done to them. I guess they missed that part in the Bible about false prophets.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s funny is they attack me for being a nurse & assume I\u2019m as racist and bigoted as they are,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
