Summer Fox Brewing Company is bringing back its annual Hazy IPA competition with a new name and an expanded lineup of breweries.<\/p>\n
The Fresno brewery will host Hazy Days: Central Valley Tap Takeover on Saturday, July 11, at its northwest Fresno taproom, where 12 breweries from across the Central Valley will compete in a blind tasting judged by attendees, according to a news release. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at 6585 N. Santa Fe Ave.<\/p>\n
Formerly known as the Hazy IPA Throwdown, the event has been rebranded as Hazy Days while keeping its signature format. Each participating brewery will pour one Hazy IPA, served anonymously so guests can judge each beer solely on taste.<\/p>\n

Guests who purchase tasting flights can vote throughout the evening for the People\u2019s Choice award, while a second honor \u2014 First Keg to Kick \u2014 will recognize the beer that sells out first. Full pours will also be available for purchase.<\/p>\n
The participating breweries are Summer Fox Brewing Company, House of Pendragon, Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co., Burning Sun Brewing Co., Procreations Brewing Company, Two Ravens Brewery, Salty Walrus Brewing Co., Crow & Wolf Brewing Co., Full Circle Brewing Co., South of Shaw Beer Company, Magosh Brewing and Hapa Shack Brew Hut.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fun of Hazy Days is that people don\u2019t always vote the way they think they will,\u201d said Kelsey Lee, Director of Brand Strategy & Business Operations at Summer Fox Brewing Company. \u201cWhen you take the labels away, you give people permission to be surprised by what they actually like most.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the release, previous winners of the competition include Two Ravens Brewery and House of Pendragon.<\/p>\n
Presented by Visit Fresno County, Hazy Days also highlights Fresno\u2019s growing craft beer scene and the collaborative relationships among regional breweries. The event continues Summer Fox Brewing Company\u2019s annual competition under its new branding while keeping the focus on local craft beer.<\/p>\n
