(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office has identified the <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/heavy-police-presence-in-ne-bakersfield\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">man who died after being struck by a vehicle on Panorama Drive <\/a>as 83-year-old Larry Bernard Tombow of Bakersfield.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/heavy-police-presence-in-ne-bakersfield\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pedestrian killed after being struck by vehicle on Panorama Drive<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on July 9th, 2026, at around 9:18 pm, officers responded to the 1100 block of Panorama Drive regarding a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.<\/p>\n<p>When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian down in the roadway suffering from severe injuries. Medical aid arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
