FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 A Fresno High School tutor was arrested for allegedly trying to contact a minor in a Discord group chat.<\/p>\n
Detectives with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 26-year-old Keebtsim Txhim Christopher Xiong of Fresno.<\/p>\n
Xiong served as an after-school tutor at Fresno High School and worked for an outside company, California Teaching Fellows Foundation, which is contracted by the Fresno Unified School District. <\/p>\n
Because of an ongoing investigation his employer immediately placed him on administrative leave.<\/p>\n
Detectives began investigating after receiving information that Xiong was inappropriately communicating with minors in a group chat on Discord.<\/p>\n
Preliminary evidence indicates Xiong exchanged child sexual abuse material with the children and was making efforts to contact at least one of them in person.<\/p>\n
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes and possession\/distribution of child sexual abuse material. <\/p>\n
His bail was set at $100,000.<\/p>\n
Xiong has since posted bond and was released from jail with a future court date.<\/p>\n
