Milhaus<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0SRG Residential completed a merger, forming\u00a0a national multifamily platform to\u00a0develop, own and manage apartment communities in more than 20 markets.<\/p>\n

Together, Indianapolis-based Milhaus and Newport Beach-based SRG Residential, a subsidiary of Sares\u00a0Regis Group, have\u00a0$2.5B of total investment activity and more than 50,000 apartments under third-party management,\u00a0according to a release<\/a>. SRG Residential’s portfolio\u00a0includes apartment complexes<\/a>\u00a0in Long Beach, Irvine, Woodland Hills and Ontario, California.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The combined company plans to start eight development projects containing more than 2,000 units\u00a0this year, according to the release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Milhaus also announced it will acquire Los Angeles-based Broadshore Capital Partners,\u00a0an investment management and lending platform. The move will expand Milhaus’ capabilities in those areas.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chris Payne<\/a>, formerly the\u00a0CEO of SRG Residential, is now chief development officer at Milhaus.\u00a0Jeff Bailey, SRG Residential president of property management,\u00a0will continue to helm\u00a0the combined property management group.<\/p>\n

Broadshore Capital Partners CEO Brad Howe\u00a0will become the chief investment officer of Milhaus upon closing of the acquisition, which is anticipated later this summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The combined Milhaus platform will have corporate offices in Indianapolis, New York, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Orlando, Florida, and Newport Beach, California.<\/p>\n

Mergers and acquisitions\u00a0proliferated\u00a0in the spring<\/a>.\u00a0Financing for transactions is plentiful,\u00a0despite geopolitical events that shook the market for single-asset sales earlier this year.
