{"id":400057,"date":"2026-07-16T00:44:14","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T00:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/400057\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T00:44:14","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T00:44:14","slug":"real-estate-giant-scoops-up-tech-and-research-building-in-san-jose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/400057\/","title":{"rendered":"Real estate giant scoops up tech and research building in San Jose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN JOSE \u2013 A real estate firm involved in a separate proposal for a data center in South San Jose has acquired a North San Jose tech and research building, documents show.<\/p>\n<p>In a deal that points to rising values for the property, San Francisco-based Prologis Logistics Services Inc. paid $11.6 million for a building at 2304 Zanker Rd., documents filed July 14 at the Santa Clara County Recorder\u2019s Office show.<\/p>\n<p>The selling entity was a Burlingame-based group headed up by business executives Igor Brener and Ahmed Kaddoura, records show.<\/p>\n<p>Prologis bought the building for 26% more than the $9.2 million the sellers paid in October 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The building totals 40,600 square feet, according to CBRE, a commercial real estate firm that had been marketing the property for sale.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Prologis floated a proposal to develop a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/07\/08\/san-jose-tech-property-data-economy-ai-build-real-estate-develop-jobs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">data center on Silver Creek Valley Rd.<\/a> in South San Jose.
