Gates open at 5 p.m., with parking opening at 4 p.m. Organizers say the event will feature top bull riders competing in an arena near the grandstand, followed by fireworks.The California Rodeo Salinas runs from Thursday, July 16, through Sunday, July 19, with two evening performances and two matinees. Organizers describe it as one of the top 15 professional rodeos in the country and the largest rodeo in California.This year\u2019s rodeo schedule includes:Thursday, July 16: Bucking Cancer NightFriday, July 17: Ag Appreciation NightSaturday, July 18: Salute to Military DaySunday, July 19: Crown Royal Day of ChampionsThursday and Friday performances begin with the grand entry at 6 p.m. and the rodeo at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks are planned after both evening shows. Saturday and Sunday are daytime performances, with grand entry beginning at 1:15 p.m. and rodeo action starting at 2 p.m.In addition to rodeo events, attendees can expect food and shopping vendors, saloons and family-friendly activities throughout the week. Rodeo Clown John Harrison and charro and rope artist Tomas Garcilazo are also scheduled to perform each day.Tickets for rodeo performances range from $31 to $45, while season tickets range from $148 to $168.
