A missing California DoorDash driver <\/a>was found dead inside the trunk of a Tesla abandoned on the side of a highway as investigators begin investigating the chilling case as a homicide.<\/p>\n

Javier Becerril, 42, of Hollister, was positively identified Tuesday after his body was discovered last Thursday inside the Tesla<\/a> off Highway 152 near the San Luis Reservoir, according to the California Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n

Becerril had been reported missing by his family before the grim discovery<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Detectives are now analyzing the Tesla\u2019s onboard computer system to determine whether it contains data or video that could help identify the person or people responsible for Becerril\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
