Hollywood actress\u00a0Elisha Cuthbert<\/a>\u00a0has officially sold her lavish Los Angeles<\/a> home for $1.93 million, days after the property was put back on the market with a significant discount.<\/p>\n

Cuthbert, 43, who is originally from Canada<\/a>, has made multiple attempts to offload the property in recent years, initially bringing it to the market for the first time in July 2025, when it was listed for $3.13 million. <\/p>\n

However, in the months that followed, the “24” star, who took a four-year hiatus from acting in 2022, reduced the asking price multiple times, as the dwelling bounced on and off the market.<\/p>\n

On June 25, the West Hollywood<\/a> abode was relisted for $2.095 million\u2014$254,000 less than its previous ask of $2.349 million. And it seems that final price cut was exactly what one lucky buyer had been waiting for\u2014with property records showing that the dwelling came under “contingent” offer just a few days later. <\/p>\n

Now, Realtor.com\u00ae<\/a> can reveal that the deal has officially closed, with the actress selling the home for just under her final asking price. However, she still walks away with a pretty profit, having purchased the three-bedroom, two-bath property in 2005 for $1.6 million at the height of her career.<\/p>\n

However, 13 years after investing in her\u00a0Hollywood Hills<\/a>\u00a0residence, the actress took a significant step back from the industry in order to focus on raising her children,\u00a0Zaphire Phaneuf, 9, and\u00a0Fable Phaneuf, 4, whom she shares with her husband,\u00a0Dion Phaneuf.<\/p>\n

That same year, she listed the 2,109-square-foot home for rent for $12,500 a month.<\/p>\n

She continued to list and delist the home for rent until July 2025, when she opted to try and sell the property altogether, putting it on the market for $3.1 million.<\/p>\n

But, by November 2025, the home had once again been removed from the market, only to reappear in March 2026 for $2.3 million, where it remained for just a matter of weeks before vanishing.<\/p>\n

The dwelling appears to have undergone a dramatic interior overhaul since it was first listed one year ago, with new photos revealing a much more elegant, neutral aesthetic than what was seen in its initial listing images.<\/p>\n

According to its latest listing, which was held by\u00a0Patrick Fogarty\u00a0of\u00a0Carolwood Estates, the “storybook traditional” home is, “nestled among lush tropical greenery” and offers “warmth, character, and effortless access to the famed Chateau Marmont, just moments away.”<\/p>\n

The exterior of the home offers a chic facade, while the interior boasts an expansive open floor plan.<\/p>\n

The living area is the perfect place to unwind thanks to its soaring ceilings and access to the outdoor area.<\/p>\n

Adjacent to the cooking space is the dining room, which features modern overhead lighting and enough space for a large table.<\/p>\n

The primary bedroom is every bit as elegant thanks to its spacious layout and French doors that open up to the balcony.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the bathroom boasts a glass-enclosed shower and a dual vanity.<\/p>\n

Moving outside, the property offers plenty of seating areas and is the perfect place to entertain thanks to its wood oven.<\/p>\n

While the actress never revealed what prompted her to put the home on the market, she is known to spend much of her free time at her residence in Canada: a stunning waterfront estate on Prince Edward Island, which she and her husband have owned for years.<\/p>\n

She recently returned to the spotlight with a starring role in the Prime Video series “Every Year After,” which premiered on June 10 and marked the actress’ first major project since 2022.<\/p>\n

Mere weeks ago, she opened up about what led to her hiatus from her on-screen career. During an appearance on\u00a0the “Today” show<\/a>, Cuthbert revealed that while expecting her second baby, she realized it was time to shift her priorities.<\/p>\n

\u200b\u201cI realized I worked all four years through our first child, and it was really hard,\u201d Cuthbert told\u00a0hosts\u00a0Jenna Bush Hager\u00a0and\u00a0Sheinelle Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, when we had our second, I just felt like I didn\u2019t want to waste any second of it, and I didn\u2019t want to be on set. I just felt like I needed to be at home with the kids, and I enjoyed every minute.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, now that her children are getting older, she revealed that she felt like the time was right for her to return to the set.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re in school now full time,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel like I have the space and the energy and the heart to kind of leave them and do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery Year After\u201d is Cuthbert\u2019s first significant acting role in years. Her last major project was in 2022, in which she starred as Andrea in\u00a0Allan Ungar\u2019s crime film \u201cBandit.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her role as Sue in \u201cEvery Year After,\u201d Cuthbert plays the mother of Charlie, played by\u00a0Michael Bradway, and Sam, played by\u00a0Matt Cornett, who falls in love with Percy, played by\u00a0Sadie Soverall.<\/p>\n

The romance series is based on\u00a0Carley Fortune\u2019s bestselling novel \u201cEvery Summer After.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cuthbert confessed that she was unaware of Fortune\u2019s books before taking up the role, but has since become an enthusiast of Fortune\u2019s works.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s crazy because I hadn\u2019t read any of Carley\u2019s books, and then I got on the show,\u201d Cuthbert said. \u201cObviously had the script, but I wanted to read the novel. And then I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m a superfan now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Cuthbert further exposed her love for Fortune\u2019s works by sharing that she\u2019s read all of her books and recommends them to others.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ranch\u201d star also revealed that she\u2019s grateful that Soverall, 24, won\u2019t have to experience the same stress from fame that she endured at the height of her career in the 2000s.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a lot of pressure,\u201d she said. \u201cSadie Soverall, it\u2019s nice that she\u2019s in a time now where she doesn\u2019t have to worry about those things. It\u2019s very different.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Canadian actress got her start as a child model before making her acting debut in 1996, at age 13, as an extra on the horror series \u201cAre You Afraid of the Dark?\u201d She became a regular on the show in 1999.<\/p>\n

Cuthbert\u2019s first feature film role came in 1997, in which she played Sarah in the Canadian family drama \u201cDancing on the Moon.\u201d<\/p>\n

She co-hosted a youth educational show, \u201cPopular Mechanics for Kids,\u201d with\u00a0Jay Baruchel\u00a0from 1997 to 2000, before taking on her first major breakout role as Kim Bauer on the hit Fox thriller series \u201c24\u201d in 2001.<\/p>\n

She went on to star in the 2003 comedy \u201cOld School\u201d and 2005 horror \u201cHouse of Wax,\u201d with her last major role ending in 2020, as Abby Phillips-Bennett on the Netflix sitcom \u201cThe Ranch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cuthbert took on only a few other minor roles following the show\u2019s conclusion before stepping away from the spotlight.<\/p>\n
