(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 A Hageman Road rehabilitation project is set to impact drivers starting next week until January 2027, announced the City of Bakersfield.<\/p>\n<p>The closures will be set between Old Farm Road to Calloway Drive, and Coffee Road to Knudsen Drive, from Monday, July 20, 2026, through Jan. 6, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Crews&#8217; construction work on Hageman Road will include:<\/p>\n<p>Removing existing handicap ramps and asphaltRepaving the roadInstalling thermoplastic and green methyl methacrylate stripingLane markingsInstalling sidewalk access ramps at intersections compliant with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standardsAdjustment of existing manholes and water valvesConstruction of a new median noseAdjustment of monument encasements<\/p>\n<p>Lanes are expected to be closed or reduced during the project. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes or to plan for more time when driving through the area. Traffic controls will be in place.<\/p>\n<p>Construction work may be postponed and rescheduled without notice due to inclement weather and other unforeseen conditions, said the city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
