{"id":405893,"date":"2026-07-21T00:22:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T00:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/405893\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T00:22:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T00:22:08","slug":"high-temperatures-and-beach-hazards-this-week-for-southern-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/405893\/","title":{"rendered":"High temperatures and beach hazards this week for Southern California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Temperatures will continue to heat up this week, with some Southern California areas reaching triple digits. <\/p>\n<p>While many will seek refuge at the coast, beachgoers are warned that tropical storm Elida is bringing high surf and rip currents to SoCal.<\/p>\n<p>Elida is the first in a series of tropical swells coming with many south-facing beaches in the region impacted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NWSLosAngeles\/status\/2079310677244563571?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The National Weather Service said<\/a> swells generated by Elida will affect portions of the west coast of the Baja Peninsula and Southern California over the next several days.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures are also climbing, with higher temperatures today through Thursday.
