A vehicle hit a tree at Chesnut and Home Avenues in Fresno, California on Monday, July 20, 2026.<\/p>\n

One person was hospitalized Monday following a two-vehicle crash in central Fresno.<\/p>\n

Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to the intersection of Chestnut and Home avenues, near McKinley Avenue, where they found a PG&E utility pole that had been sheared off.<\/p>\n

A black vehicle had crashed into a tree, while a white truck struck a curb and knocked down a sign.<\/p>\n

Police said one driver suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver is also being evaluated for possible DUI.<\/p>\n

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
