About two-dozen firefighters managed to bring the flames under control within a half-hour, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The fire department left the building more than three decades ago amid concerns about its structural integrity, Hunt said. Station 24 was later relocated to the base of Shepherd Canyon Park.<\/p>\n<p>A cause for the blaze remains under investigation.
